Altmed hosts the following events:
Menstrual clinic is a flagship women's program organised every quarter of the year to sensitize and educate women and sometimes even men on issues with regards to Menstrual health. The maiden program was organised in 2021 and has since seen tremendous success. During the program which last usually for a day, the women are tested for blood counts, STI screening, urine test, blood sugar and vital signs. Early diagnosis and treatment are very necessary to avoid complications of Menstrual disorders in later years.
It was born out of the various psychological issues women face during period of childlessness. It has been a medium where couples are taken through series of likely mental health issues associated with childlessness and its complications. Couples are helped to particularly identify their peculiar problems and where possible, treatment plans are devised for them and monitored for their outcomes. They are further reassured of life beyond their predicament and how to deal with it both medically and mentally. This program is organised twice every year and the outcomes have been very successful as well

Women are more likely to contract Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) especially those who don't have proper places of convenience. And moreso, elderly women stand higher chances than younger ones. For this reason, Altmed Clinic has identified our market places as a place to target for some of the common UTIs in our communities due to lack of proper places of convenience and most of the women also keep urine for long periods of time before voiding leading to various forms of UTIs. As part of the quarterly event, the market women are taken through education and testing. Many of these women may also harbour other conditions unknown to them which are all revealed during these market visits.
